Open OnDemand is a web-based portal that provides intuitive, graphical access to HPC resources without requiring command-line expertise. This tutorial will guide researchers through using Open OnDemand on ACER's Lakeshore cluster, enabling them to manage files, submit jobs, run interactive applications, and visualize results directly from their web browser.
Participants will learn how to launch and work within popular web-based interactive applications, such as Jupyter Notebooks, RStudio, and VS Code Server, directly on the cluster. Additionally, the workshop will demonstrate how to pair VS Code with Google Gemini to accelerate code writing, debugging, and optimization within high-performance computing environments.
Whether you're new to HPC or looking to streamline your workflow, Open OnDemand offers a user-friendly gateway to high-performance computing resources. We encourage all researchers using ACER's HPC systems to attend to learn how this powerful interface can enhance their computational research.
