Introduction
Chicago WHPC Opens Applications for 2026–2027 Mentorship Program
Chicago WHPC Mentorship Program
Chicago Women in High Performance Computing (Chicago WHPC) has opened applications for its 2026–2027 Mentorship Program, a year long initiative designed to support growth, connection, and opportunity across high performance computing, AI, and quantum computing.
The program brings together learners, students, researchers, and early career professionals with experienced mentors for one to one mentorship, structured goal setting, and ongoing support. Participants will have the opportunity to strengthen both technical and professional skills, including leadership, communication, collaboration, project planning, and career navigation.
“The future of these fields depends not only on technical excellence, but also on mentorship, community, and access,” said Ana Marija Sokovic, Chair of Chicago WHPC. “We want this program to help people at all levels grow their confidence, develop their skills, and see a place for themselves in HPC, AI, and quantum computing.”
Chicago WHPC encourages those who are ready to commit to growth, learning, and accountability to apply. The organization also asks supporters to share the opportunity widely with their networks to help reach those who would benefit from participating.
