Description

This Python tutorial will guide participants through common tasks in data science. It is designed to be accessible to people with basic python skills. This session is a follow up to Introduction to Python on September 14th, 2023.

Learning objectives

  • load packages and spreadsheet-style data using Python package Pandas
  • extract columns, rows, and portions thereof from datasets
  • overview of data visualization libraries for python
  • Create basic plots with matplotlib
